If you’ve never looked for part-time remote work, you’ll quickly realize it’s not so different from applying for in-person jobs, you just have to know where to look.

Remote Freelance Jobs

If you’re just looking for part-time freelance work then your best bet is to make a profile on sites like Upwork

These sites give you a selection of freelancer jobs ranging from sales, copywriting, graphic design, social media management, administrative support, and CRM management jobs in countless different industries.

I was personally able to live for 2 months immediately after graduating college working on UpWork while growing my startup Respond Flow on the side. UpWork gave me the buffer I needed to find more freelance clients off of its platforms until I no longer needed to use it.

I’ll tell you why leaving the platform is important in Step 5 of this guide.

Full-Time Remote Jobs

*Disclaimer

I won’t be covering much on applying to work full-time for remote-first companies because:

  1. I have never applied or received an offer to work full-time for a remote-first company
  2. Getting jobs that are purely remote usually requires you to be an absolute expert at what you do. If you are this unicorn, then you might end your readings at the end of this section.

*Disclaimer*

There are tons of full-time remote jobs available for developers, content creators, and distributed sales teams across the world. The only skill you really need is how to use a search bar.

In any job listing website, all you need to do is put the name of the title you’re looking for and to put remote after it.

Check the example below 👇

In this example, I’m using LinkedIn to find remote Email marketing jobs. If you’re not an email marketer or quite frankly you find emails boring then just search for other jobs that may match your skillsets.

Quick Tip: Turn Job alerts on for all job marketplaces. They will send you updates on new and existing remote jobs.
